EMAIL HOSTING FAQ

Email Hosting Questions Answered

  • What is business email hosting?
Business email hosting provides mailboxes that use your own domain. Each plan defines how many domains and mailboxes you can add, how storage is pooled and how much space one mailbox may use.
  • Can I use my existing domain for email?
Yes. Your domain must use the required MX and related DNS records. Review the change before updating DNS so existing mail service is not interrupted unexpectedly.
  • Can I use Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or a mobile mail app?
Compatible applications can connect through IMAP or POP3 for incoming mail and authenticated SMTP for outgoing mail. Use the connection settings supplied for your account and enable TLS.
  • How do pooled storage and mailbox quotas work?
Pooled storage is shared across all mailboxes in the plan. The maximum mailbox quota limits how much of that pool can be assigned to one mailbox, so actual allocation must stay within both limits.
  • Can I send newsletters, marketing campaigns or transactional application email?
No. These plans are intended for ordinary person-to-person and team email. Bulk newsletters, marketing campaigns and application transactional sending require a purpose-built email delivery service.
  • What outbound sending limits apply?
Each plan has a recipient limit per mailbox per hour and a recipient limit across the plan per day. A message sent to multiple recipients counts each recipient toward the applicable limit.
  • Can my existing mailboxes be migrated through IMAP?
An eligible IMAP migration can be reviewed after the source service, credentials, mailbox count, storage use and other requirements are known. Confirm eligibility, scope and preparation steps before ordering.
  • What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC used for?
These DNS-based controls help receiving systems identify authorized mail sources and apply domain policies. Setup guidance is included, but records must match the services that legitimately send mail for your domain.
